Carol Paretti

Magneto ImageMagnetoMagneto -- $334.00 - (Special Order only)
Multi-colored metallic pieces are moved in the cell of this scope by a super-strong magnet that you control by turning the wooden knob on the side. This magnet is removable so you can change the pieces inside the cell, if you like. Like her other scopes, the third side of this two-mirror scope is carved wood, making the image look as if it's at the end of a decorative wood column. The exterior comes in Gold, Orange, Black, and Red. (See another image photo here.)

Hot Dots by Carol ParettiImage from Hot Dots by Carol ParettiHot Dots -- $369.00 - (Special Order only)
Carol Paretti used fiber optics rods in the object cells for her latest stunning creation, Hot Dots. That's what creates the glowing effect in the image -- the rods gather surrounding light and emit it at their ends. Attached to the ends of those same rods are colorful beads and baubles that add dimension to the image. Taking a cue from her popular Starfield scope, Carol has added thousands of tiny, clear beads to the cell which allow for a more fluid motion from the objects within the cell. The body of the scope comes in various color combinations (Blue with Gold is shown; we'll be able to show more exterior color combos in approximately 3-4 weeks.)

Slow Yo-YoSlow Yo-Yo ImageSlow Yo-Yo -- $386.00 - (Special Order only)
The objects for this wood and leather-bodied scope are several types of ribbon, which are attached to a clear acrylic spindle. A wooden crank on the side of the scope is used to wind (and unwind) the ribbons onto the spindle. As they are wound up you view them through the scope's two-mirror system. The spindle also slides back and forth, allowing more of the ribbons to be seen.

Feather & LeatherCaPaFeat.jpg (80961 bytes)Feather & Leather -- $292.00 - (Special Order only)
The Feather & Leather Scope by Carol Paretti is definitely one of the most unique scopes we've seen. The object cell houses brightly colored feathers, which are moved around using a perfume atomizer. Each squeeze of the atomizer gives the feathers a burst of air, thereby changing the image seen through the scope's two-mirror system. The body of the scope is covered in leather, which is available in several colors, including black, wine, and brown. (The scope at right in this photo is by Mark Tickle).
